Reverend Nerrick Chung-Ying, Sr. currently serves as Senior Pastor of Word of Life Apostolic Center, Inc., in Rahway New Jersey, and is an Ordained Minister with the United Pentecostal Church International (New York Metro District). His journey began in 1977 as a young man when he attended the North Kingston Sanctuary--United Pentecostal Church of Jamaica for the first time, where he sought for, and was filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and was baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ by the late Bishop Eldemire Nathaniel Green, who was his spiritual father, teacher and mentor.
He was involved in various ministries in Kingston Jamaica, served as Sunday School Director, Pastoral Ministerial Team, Lead Singer for the Choir, Team Lead for Missions outreach to surrounding communities, District Sectional Sunday School Leader.
In 1986 he migrated to the United States of America, where he met the love of his life Janet Wilson and was married on June 11th, 1988. The union produced two sons Andrew and Nerrick (Chris), who are currently preachers of the gospel.

Pastor Chung-Ying holds a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies.

Pastor Chung-Ying formerly was an Information Technology Consulting Professional for over fifteen years.
In the Spring of 2001, Pastor Chung-Ying abandoned his pursuit of a doctoral degree in Technology Management to organize and incorporated the organization known as the Word of Life Apostolic Center, Inc. (WOLAC), where he is licensed and installed as Senior Pastor.
